1. Computer Fundamentals:
Provides a solid Foundation in basic computer concepts and the essentials of hardware, software, operating systems, and the internet.
2. Internet and WWW Fundamentals:
Covers exploring the web using search engines, working with e-mail and creating Web pages.
Tools in study: Internet Explorer 6, Microsoft Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook 2003.
3. Word Processing Fundamentals:
Teaches students to use a word processor to write and revise a variety of personal and business documents, from simple letters to memos to complex layouts containing graphics and tables.
Tool in study: Microsoft Word 2003.
4. Spreadsheet Fundamentals:
Teaches students the basics of spreadsheets concepts and practices, including creating worksheets, editing data, building charts and graphs, and publishing spreadsheets to the web.
Tool in study: Microsoft Excel 2003.
5. Presentation Fundamentals:
Covers everything student needs to know about putting together persuasive electronic presentation from creating basic slide shows to adding graphics, audio, and video for rich multimedia presentations.
Tools in study: Microsoft PowerPoint 2003.
6. Web Design Fundamentals:
Takes students through complete process of Web page design, from the basics of HTML to strategies for designing and building a complete website.
Tools in study: HTML, Microsoft FrontPage 2003.
7. Digital Media Fundamentals:
Teaches students how to get started
with digital media, including music, photography, and basic
video editing.
Tools in study: Windows Media Player
10, Windows Movie Maker, Microsoft Picture Manager 2003.
8. Database Fundamentals:
Introduces students to the basics of using a relational database to create tables, forms, and reports.
Tool in study: Microsoft Access 2003.
